So, last night was… an experience. My mom and sister were both in a mood, and somehow, I ended up getting accused of eating all the cough drops. Which, for the record, I didn’t. Not even one. But they were both so sure it was me.
The whole thing started when my sister came running into the living room, holding an empty cough drop box, acting like I’d committed some major crime. She kept saying, “Why did you eat all of them? You can’t just take all the cough drops!” And I’m sitting there, completely confused, because I hadn’t touched them.
Then, my mom chimes in. She starts talking about how “cough drops are basically candy,” and it just made the whole situation even weirder. I was trying to explain that they’re not candy, but she wasn’t having it. To her, cough drops are just another sweet thing you suck on when you’re bored.
By the end of it, I felt like I was in the middle of some bizarre family drama over… throat lozenges. I get that they were probably just frustrated about other things, but it was still such a weird, unnecessary argument. I just wanted to tell them I didn’t eat the cough drops, but they were so convinced that I had.
Anyway, after a long back-and-forth, they finally realized they’d misplaced the box. Turns out, they had just overlooked it. Classic, right?
