I have this thing where I write whenever I feel uncomfortable or need to sort through my emotions. It’s like my way of untangling the mess in my head.

There’s a quote that says, “When in doubt, throw it out,” and honestly, I think I need to start applying that more to my habits — especially the bad ones. One of the worst ones? Being late. Constantly.

It’s gotten to the point where people just expect it from me, and not in a charming, “oh that’s just them” kind of way. It’s embarrassing, and deep down, I know it makes others see me as unreliable.

Recently, I had a situation where my lateness cost me something important. I won’t lie — it stung. It wasn’t just uncomfortable; it was a full-on slap in the face. But maybe that’s what I needed.

At least it wasn’t something irreversible. At least I still have the chance to be better.

So now, I’m taking a page out of Nike’s book — Just do it. No more procrastinating. No more assuming there’s always “a little more time.” I know I can be better, and I’m finally ready to show up for myself the way I should’ve all along.
