I swear, my roommate is driving me crazy. She’s got this full-on obsession with these triplet girls on YouTube who have curly hair, and it’s honestly taking over her life.
I was gone for the weekend visiting my boyfriend, and when I came back, I was hit with a wall of posters — like, six massive posters of these random girls who aren’t even in my orbit. I couldn’t believe it.
What really gets me though? She doesn’t even have curly hair. Like, she’s got loose waves at best, but she buys every curly hair product that exists. It’s like she thinks that will turn her hair into theirs, but it’s not even close.
And it doesn’t stop there. She’s always buying dupes of these girls’ outfits too. It’s like she wants to live their life, but it’s her life, you know? It’s honestly starting to feel like I’m living in a weird fanfic. I get that people can have idols, but this obsession feels like it’s pushing the boundaries of personal identity.
It’s driving me up the wall, but at the same time, I don’t even know how to bring it up without sounding like a total jerk. Ugh.
